Question: I have short cervix and have a cerclage placed in 22 weeks when my cervix was 2.4cm. in my last scan at 24 weeks my length was 2.9 cm. What precautions i need to take because of short cervix and cerclage. I m progesterone suppositories and weekly progesterone injection
Answer: Hi! The length of your lower uterus level is the cervical length which is connected to your vagina and we r not pregnant and its closed and rigid but during the course of pregnancy it becomes soft and dilated hence women with short cervix get cervical stitches to protect the baby. Also now that you know that u hv cervical incompetency u need to avoid sexual intercourse and lifting Heavy weight. Bed rest is important and stitches r to be removed at 38 weeks. Hope this helps!

Question: Which is safe to travel in 35th week of pregnancy flight or train?? It will be a journey of 15hrs by train and 1.5 hrs by flight.
Answer: Hello dear. Travelling in pregnancy completely depends on you as to how confident and comfortable you are while travelling and also it depends if you have a green signal from the doctor, and there would be no problem if there are no complication or restriction in your pregnancy. It's always better to have a short journey duration. Take care.
