7 months old baby

Question: Hi...i started with semi solid food for my baby once a day...he is 6 month and 21 days old...i need a proper food chart for baby...pls help.

Answer: Dear You can start with fruits. Give mashed banana, chickoo or apple puree and Daal Ka paani. After sometime you can introduce vegetables like nicely cooked carrots, pumpkin, sweet potato. Give ragi porridge as it will help in gaining weight. Always keep in mind to start with one food at a time. If giving apple then continue for 2-3 days as it will help her get the taste and also you can know if she is allergic to it. Give one time in the mornings. Then slowly increase as she starts developing taste. Please avoid salt and sugar till one year. They don't require it.

Answer: Give only 1-2 teaspoons of apple sauce or any other food that you introduce at this point. Remember that this is only to get the baby used to solid texture and nutrition needs are still fulfilled by breastmilk or formula.After 3 days, you may give mashed/ pureed banana for 3 days and then suji halwa.
