Question: hii i m 20 weeks preg... i m not taking any medicine like iron calcium tablets... will it effect my baby's growth???
Answer: Hey,
It will not effect baby’s growth but it will definitely have adverse effect on your body.
Baby takes nutrients from your bone and blood that is the reason iron and calcium supplements are recommended to keep your body strong as it loses lots of calcium and iron to support growing baby.
The low levels of these minerals will cause body pain and weakness.
Also low haemoglobin levels can cause complications in your delivery. Therefore its best to take these supplements.
