Question: hii..I have small fibroid in the lateral wall of uterus..doctor said it doesn't cause any harm to the foetus..bt I'm very tensed abt it..does the fibroid disappears later r not?
Answer: Often, the first time a pregnant woman learns she has a fibroid is during her initial routine ultrasound. That's because fibroids usually don't cause symptoms. But they are quite common—more than 70 percent of women have them. In most cases, fibroids won't cause a problem with the pregnancy..The baby is rarely affected unless the bleeding is substantial. Even if you do experience symptoms, they most likely won't affect the baby. However, your risk of miscarriage and premature delivery does increase slightly if you have fibroids. but dont worry it will not harm your baby..sometimes fibroids will resolves themselves after delivery but some need surgery to or antibiotics to remove them after delivery.. trust and follow your doctor suggestions..
