Question: Suffering from Itching in arms and legs. I am 5months pregnant. Doctor suggested Liver Functioning Test (LFT) and found SGPT os highly increased. What to do. :( i am worried :(
Answer: Hi dear, When the flow of bile gets blocked or reduced from liver, you get this itching all over body.it is caused due to: 1- some infection or disease 2-hormonal fluctuations 3-some drug use 4-genetic abnormalities Pregnancy increases the risk of getting cholestasis.Pregnancy hormones may also cause this condition. That’s because they can affect your gallbladder function, allowing bile to build up and flow over into your blood stream.most of the cases in pregnancy are non threatening but it could have serious health impacts like: 1- pre term delivery 2- fetal distress 3- still birth Though it resolves post delivery, but in future you might be at risk of developing diabetes and liver issues.

Question: Merko veginal area ke around itching irritation ho raha h..i am 13 week pregnant..what may be the reason of this? should i visit my doctor
Answer: Hello dear, vaginal Mild itching is common in pregnancy because of the increased blood supply to the skin, few tips which will help you to get some relaxation.Try holding a cool rag or towel up against the vaginal area. Do not use hot water on the rag or it could further irritate the tissue. Switch to cool showers and not hot to keep from raising the body temperature. Hot water is very hard on sensitive skin and tissues. You can either make a baking soda paste or add it to your bath water. Soak the area for 10 to 15 minutes to help relieve inflammation and itching. You won’t fit into those tight jeans your entire pregnancy or non-maternity underwear. Do not wear any materials with lycra or spandex as they can trap moisture in close to the skin.wear cotton panty and avoid those fancy once. Use mild soaps, shampoos, laundry detergents and skip the bubble baths for now. You can use vinegar as a fabric softener as a natural alternative and leave out the harsh vaginal washes during pregnancy. The fragrances and chemicals can make the problem worse. For a quick refresh during the day, you can try a personal wipe after using the restroom or during the day to relieve itching.
