Question: Hi Dr..m ivf pregnant for 8 week but my first scan says 7 week 3 days and no heart beat....m worried...how to get heart beat in fetus??
Answer: Hello Dear If you're only seven weeks, then that's normal. The fetal pole is a thickening on the margin of the yolk sac of a fetus during pregnancy. It is usually identified at 8 weeks with abdominal ultrasound imaging, and 7 weeks with vaginal ultrasound imaging. However it is quite normal for the fetal pole and heart beat not to be audible n visible until about 9 weeks. The heart usually starts beating some where in the 6th-8th week. So don't worry at all, just give it some time. Congrats on your pregnancy!

Question: Heart beat fluctuations found in 36th week in ctg scan. What does it mean. Is baby is in critical fou
Answer: Once a woman has reached her second trimester, her baby's heartbeat will be between 110 to 160 bpm and can be detected using a Doppler device. If the doctor has discovered an irregular heartbeat, such as beating too slow or too fast, there is a chance that the baby could have a heart condition.
