Question: Hi Doctor,I am 6 weeks pregnant and i am diagnosied with hyper thyroid .is it normal? I have not started medication yet.Will it afffect baby?

Answer: Hllo dear u r 8 weeks pregnant nd u have thyroid nd diabetis .dear first of all u should consult to ur gyno nd go 4 blood test so that Dr nd u both can know the thyroid nd sugar level .so that she can start ur medicine. Because if she knows level of both she 'll decide dose of medicine according to that.try it nd u should take healthy diet as Eat variety of food,distributing calories nd carbohydrates evenly throughout the day.Dont skip meals.take breakfast in 9 to 10 am after take fruits juices .after 2 hours gap take lunch and again milk in evening after that take snacks nd a healthy dinner..take healthy bf includes high fiber food such as fresh fruits vegetables whole grain bread nd cereals nd dried peas beans. Go 4 walk daily nd do exercise try it. It should helpful in maintain sugar level .try these remedies also it helpful in maintain thyroid level . Question: My thyroid level is 7.8. is that hyper thyroid or under active? I am already taking thyroid medication. Will it impact baby?
Answer: hi dear, i guess your TSH level is high it means your glands are under active . but during pregnancy women need more T3 & T4 for a healthy pregnancy. but patient with hypothyroidism can suffer from anemia, heath problem like swelling & even pretrm birth. you need to take proper medication as per yoyr doctors suggestion to maintain a healthy pregnancy. you should avoid eating vegetables like cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli, spinach as it increases thyroid probles in patients. takr care.
