Question: Hi... I am 10 week pregnant from yesterday night I have back pain. is this common?
Answer: Hii dear. Congrats for pregnancy. This is an early sign of pregnancy. Fr back pain best remedy is exercise and yoga.
Back pain usually gets better within a few months after delivery, though some women will continue to have pain for much longer.
If you had back pain before or during pregnancy, you're more likely to have persistent back pain after pregnancy, especially if it was severe or began relatively early in pregnancy. Being overweight also increases the risk of chronic back pain.
When your back hurts, moving around may be the last thing you feel like doing, but it could be just what your body needs. At first choose a gentle form of exercise, such as walking. As long as you take it slowly and keep walks short for the first few weeks, walking is safe to start almost immediately after either a vaginal birth or a c-section. Try gentle stretching exercises or yoga – just be sure to avoid overstretching or extreme positions. And always listen to your body. If a certain position or activity causes discomfort, stop right away.
Stand – and sit – up straight.Pay attention to your body position when feeding your baby, whether you're nursing or bottle-feeding. Choose a comfortable chair with armrests, and use lots of pillows to give extra support to your back and arms. If you're breastfeeding, consider buying a breastfeeding pillow that goes around your middle.
Also try using a footstool to keep your feet slightly raised off the floor.Learn to position yourself properly while nursing, and always bring your baby to your breast, rather than the other way around. Also try different breastfeeding positions.
If you have tense shoulders and upper back pain, the side-lying position may be most comfortable.Always bend from your knees, and pick up objects (and children) from a crouching position to minimize the stress on your back.Let someone else do the heavy lifting, especially if you had a c-section.
Soak in a warm tub.Use a heating pad or a cold pack on the painful area. (Cover it to protect your skin.)Get a massage to soothe pulled muscles, tense shoulders, and low back pain.
