Answer: ideas your doctor is trying to protect your baby only the injection that has been given to you has been given to protect the baby and the thyroid medicine also would help you to control your thyroid level at a normal stage so that it does not increase and harm the pregnancy in any way please do as your doctor has asked you to do take ample of rest have good food sleep well and a lot of water to keep yourself hydrated will definitely help and go for the test after 10 days and I am sure the Heartbeat will be detected by then.. Hope this helps!

Question: Hi, i consulted my doctor for 20th week. She advised me to take anomaly scan and blood test. Also she advised my husband to take HIV and Hbsag test. And she asked my about my husband and my blood group. Mine A+ve and my husband is b-ve after hearing this only she advised him to to the blood test. Why she asked my husband to do the test. And ive done HIV inthe first month of pregnancy itself .its negative. What is role of blood group in this? Please some one answer.
Answer: Doctor has asked your husbands blood group to prevent RH incompatibility Since you are RH positive and your husband is RH negative so there are high chances that your baby can also be the RH negative this can lead to the development of antibodies against the blood group To prevent this your doctor must have asked you for indirect coombs test A negative result means that the mother has not developed antibodies against the fetus's blood. A positive result means that the mother has developed antibodies to the fetal red blood cells and is sensitized. In these cases Anti D injections are given It will be beneficial for you to get the test done
