Answer: Hello dear No, there is no problem if ur cervix length is 3.1 cm. 3 cm and above is ok. Doctor's don't worry much for 3 cm also. Just try having rest as much as possible.Rest is only solution to avoid any complication due to cervix length.

Question: I am 19 weeks and my cervix measured 3.1 cm, is it less or cause of concern? Can cervix length become less in few weeks?
Answer: Hi! The length of your lower uterus level is the cervical length which is connected to your vagina. Usually a normal cervical length is 4-5 cm long when not pregnant and its closed and rigid but during the course of pregnancy it becomes soft and dilated and keeps dilating hence women with short cervix get cervical stitches to protect the baby. You might also be asked to get a cerclage done to protect the baby. Also now that you know that you hv cervical incompetency so avoid sexual intercourse and lifting Heavy weight. Bed rest is important (condition varies from women to women). Hope this helps!

Question: In my anomaly scan cervix length 43.1mm is it OK. Onek week ago I done my test.
Answer: Dear cervical length at approximately 20 to 24 weeks into a pregnancy is the strongest indicator of a pregnant woman’s risk of preterm birth. The length of the cervix is most accurately measured by transvaginal ultrasound, which your doctor may not consider doing unless you specifically request it.. at 24 weeks gestation, the average cervical length is 3.5 cm. When cervical length is less than 2.2 cm, women face a 20 percent probability of preterm delivery. As you are having 4. 3cm there is nothing to get worried. Hope it helps,.
