Gestational diabetes is a condition in which a women without diabetes, will have higher blood sugar in pregnancy.with proper diet and exercise it can be controlled,These are few stragies can be followed to control blood sugar Limit the intake of corbohydrate in your diet , avoid to have white rice ,you can have rice in millet varieties Include more proteins in your diet,that includes dairy products,lean chicken, fish , lentils, nuts and seeds Take lot of vegetables in your diet, avoid starchy vegetables like potatoes , peas ... Because it will increase the sugar level. Intake of fiber rich fruits like apples,pears , guava will help a lot,avoid banana,mango, jackfruit will increase blood sugar value Avoid sugar, caffeine, soft drinks, pastries,oil fried food Exercise Regular exercise in pregnancy will keep your sugar in control,go for mild walk morning and evening Make yourself engaged in some activities Try maternity yoga, don't get stressed, relaxed and be happy, have a safe and happy pregnancy.. Question: I am 36 weeks pregnant and i am diagnosed with gestational diabetes but my random and fasting sugar level is normal. What precautions should I take?
Answer: In order to cope with gestational diabetes, constant checking of blood sugar level should be done. Also exercising regularly and taking proper meals helps cope with the problem. Stay in constant touch with the doctor and do urine tests as well. It's common don't worry if u r on insulin then don't wry nothing will affect ur baby and if u r on precautions only then take precautions strictly don't have sweets and have only sugar free items only apple and fruits and no rice no potatoes no veggies of under ground no tea or coffee or cold drink of sugar If u r on insulin its better because u need to eat alot and eat what ever u want just adjust ur doze according to it U hv to avoid rice , sugar products, potatoes, Split ur meal, don't eat at one time only, walking is best to control sugar after Every meal u should walk.

Answer: Hi dear just the diabetes is very common and you have to complete cut down your intake of sweets, sugary foods, fruits theatre high in Asus sugar like mango Chiku banana etc, also avoid starchy foods like potato sweet potato etc. Increase your fibre intake and eat more proteins like lentils, legumes soyabean, beans, egg, fish, chicken, vegetables, non sugar fruits, whole grain cereals and low fat milk and dairy products. Eat small portions of food after small time interval and drink plenty amount of water at least 10 to 12 glasses on regular basis. Also if you have no complications like low lying placenta then walking for 45 minutes to an hour will be helpful for you. Hope it helps.
