24 weeks pregnant mother

Question: Hello i am 22 weeks pregnant. My amino fluid level is low . It is 10.2 . Will it effect my baby's growth?

Answer: Hi! Amniotic Fluid Index or AFI is considered to be normal at 8-18. Medium AFI level is approximately 14 from week 20-35. After that it keeps reducing and prepare for birth and low AFI can affect the baby, if its 10.2 its less than normal, please continue to have; lots of fluids- tender coconut/buttermilk Cucumber/bottle gourd/ bed rest - all these help in afi increase. Your Doctor may prescribe some sachet to have with water, please be happy, stress is not going to help. Good luck!

Mediam amniotic fluid  level is approximately 14, from week 20 to week 35,  The exact number can vary by gestational age.
