Answer: Hello dear, If you are wondering how much water for 6 month old baby is essential, you must know that it depends on the child and his food habits. If he is still breastfed, a few sips are more than enough to satiate him. Baby dehydration is rare when babies get their required fluids from breast milk or formula feed. So, this shouldn’t be a concern. Babies in the age of 6-12 months can have water in the range of 2 to 4 ounce per day ie 60 to 120 ml. This doesn’t mean plain water alone. The water content in soups , milk , dal paani etc all counts here in the above measurement. So on a day to basis if a baby has soups , dal paai , kanji paani etc and a few sips of water it is enough for him. There is no hard and fast rule in this regard.

Question: My baby completed 6 months can i give him water if so how much
Answer: Hello dear. Once your baby is 6 months old, it's okay to give your baby sips of water when baby is thirsty. Don't overdo it, though, or you might give your baby a tummy ache or make your baby too full to eat well. After the first birthday, when your baby's eating solids and drinking whole milk, you can let your drink as much water as the baby likes. Take care.
