Few days old baby

Question: Hello doctor i delivered a baby on feb 14th and from the day after it i have fever 102 Continuously ..dctrs hydrated by body by giving IV and made it nrml right now..i got discharged and i am feeling like i am getting fever again.Please let me know what are the home remedies and for how long this postpartum fever would be there?

Answer: Hi dear first of all congratulations for the baby now post delivery fever is not very common and it doesn't really happen to everyone and unfortunately there is a no home remedy for reducing fever indicates that your body is fighting off an infection now you have not mentioned about any complications which has happened during pregnancy with you now sometimes an imbalance in the blood cells (specifically white blood cell) so can cause fever and it is directly related with the immunity I would suggest you to please talk to your doctor because if they have hydrated you with the IV drips and you are getting the fever once again you need to try to know as to what is the reason of the fever why is it happening to you and what you can take if the fever continues..
