My doctor has told me to get iron injections. I am feeling very afraid of to its bad effects. What can be the reason for this?
Answer: My Hb was 8.4 even after having iron supplements and vitamin C for absorption. Still i had to take IV iron through saline to increase my Hb content. Now it is 11.5. Sometimes your body doesn't accept oral iron supplements. Taking iron injections or through saline did not have any side effects on me but this may vary from individual to individual.
