Answer: Hi dear, PCOD is a life style based syndrome.usually women find quite difficult to conceive woth PCOD.they are prone to get diabetes and bp issues too.but with proper diet and lifestyle change you can definitely get pregnant and have easy delivery.include active lifestyle by exercising daily.eat whole grains, complex carbs like brown rice, whole wheat flour, oats, quinoa.protein rich diet would make sure you have slow rise in sugar.lesa salt in diet could help control high bp.consult your doctor before planning for pregnancy.i am glad that you started your treatment, once the hormones are in place, you would be able to conceive soon.please have patience.

Question: Hi i have pcod n thyroid n am trying to conceive but always negative n am in treatment to get pregnant..Taking Metformin n folic acid tablets.. any solution.
Answer: Hi. I will share my experience and hope it may help u. Please read fully as it is all real experience I faced in my life. Even it is lengthy I typed so hard to share this for u because I know the pain of it. 😶 I too have pcod from my age of 18 and now I am 29 years. I got married at age of 25 and was struggling to get conceived and tried multiple treatments. One thing all doctors advised was to reduce weight which was very difficult for me. Last option was metformin and clomid. One thing we should keep in mind is that treatment and medicines also important but being together and active in intercourse is very important in first case. Because everytime when we take medical assistance and under treatment, we will be in terrible stress every month to get conceived and because of that we loose the interest in sex and we will be concentrated on the end result. First if u have that phase plz stop it. It won't help. I took the treatment for six months and my periods became normal and one day I realised it's high time to stop medicine and try to reduce weight. We moved abroad and there I saw a culture where people having pcos not taking treatment in first case. They take that as last tool after trying all possible ways. I learned to exercise. I started zumba dance in nearby gym., then took fitbit watch and added similar friends who used same type of watch. We set one goal like 10k steps per day and started as a habit. Then slowly cut sugar in my diet. By doing so I started reducing 1kg per month. I didn't take medicines and still got my periods.. I was happy and active. Then slowly started ovulation test. But still I have irregular periods like 32,30,34 everytime, I couldn't predict exact date. Everytime it came negative and I again got depressed. So vigorously I didn't exercise and gyum and walking plus swimming.. I showed positive results.. Then installed mobile periods tracker and updated my periods. It showed me ovulating day and active days.. I started having intercourse as per those date and also used ovulation kit together. Two months continued and again negative.. But still tried hard and continued everything what all I told above. Fourth month of this routine I got my periods skipped. As we have pcos, and periods missing is something we usually face I didn't get excited. I thought again I should start my medicines. But luckily I didn't start and I waited for 45 days... This wait time is so so so so horrible as u don't know what it was. I loosed my patience and checked on 35th day.. Negative.. 39th day negative.. 45th day positive 😀 So please be calm and enjoy every month. Now I have a beautiful girl baby.. I got confirmed on feb2017 and by Nov 2017 baby born. 1. First if you are under contraceptive or birth control pills, stop it 2. If you are under medication, get a review from doctor if u can continue even if u are planning 3. Start taking folic acid tablets as it will help u get conceive and also avoid neural tube defects in child. I took while trying 4. Try using ovulation kit to track ur fertile days or track ur periods 5. Start doing exercise like walking as it will help u shed some wait and also help to relieve stress 6. Sleep properly during night time 7. Pray and do meditation to keep urself relaxed 8. Major changes to make is not to stress out for becoming pregnant. You should get that out of ur mind 9. Be happy and make ur partner also feel the happiness of getting a baby 10. Eat healthy food items
