Question: Good evening doctor....In anamoly scan got cryogenic foci in left ventricle does it affects the growth of the baby
Answer: Hi dear I hope that you are referring to echogenic Percy in the left ventricle of your Unborn baby please don't worry it does not affect your baby's growth in anyway and are common findings and are commonly seen inside heart chambers during routine fetal heart scanning, the left ventricle is most frequent location, Although they probably represent a normal variant of papilary muscle development, they should be monitered as a possible risk of congenital heart defect.
Hope this helps

Question: Small echogenic intracardiac foci noted in left ventricle. What does it mean ?is this is normal
Answer: Ecogenic intra cardiac foci are mostly seen in LV only.
But sometimes they dissolve by themselves somewhere in between your third trimester.
The severity depends on the size and calcification.
If there are no chromosomal anomalies detected in your USG then these foci will not affect your baby's health.
Hope it helps!
