Answer: At starting give only one meal a day then gradually move to 2 meals. Give light and semi solids form of foods for example applesauce, pear sauce, mashed banana, mashes papaya, suji kheer, overcooked daily and khichdi with veggies, curd with rice or any gravy with rice, mashed boiled potatoes. U can all the above foods but make sure u hv to follow 3 days rule for example if u r giving applesauce first day then u hv to give applesauce for 3 days then change after 3 days n again follow this rule. At this stage give only one meal a day coz u r baby is new to food and his digestive system is not that strong so give him time to digest the food.

Answer: Hello dear, Its better to start with veggies/fruit purees  at a time, first start with veggies like squash,sweet potato.... and maybe later peas, carrots. Fruits u can try banana, apple,plums, peaches, pears....You can also mix these veggie/fruit purees with rice cereal.  Rice is gluten free and easier to digest than wheat....Grains/Cereals/Pulses: Oats, Barley, Rice, Semolina (Rava/Sooji), Split yellow gram (moong dal), whole green gram. Breakfast idly with breast milk or formula upma Roti with milk or formula mashed dosa mashed Snack boiled apple mashed banana puree vegetable soup diluted fresh fruit juices ragi milk ghee sugar Lunch dal rice mashed khichdi sooji kheer cerelac or nestum Snack whole grain puffs mashed potatoes tossed in butter peach puree Dinner should always be light as hard carbohydrate like wheat ragi dal can cause indigestion or loose motions Give sooji kheer nestum or cerelac by 8 pm u can keep feeding ur baby breast milk or formula as needed between the meals. Be sure to use alot of ghee as fats and oils help in gaining weight. You can feed ur baby breast milk or formula milk 3 times to 4 times a day as required.
