Answer: Dear, If your milk production was OK earlier and now getting slow it means you are not taking healthy diet. But don't worry, Here are some foods and remedies ,which can help to increase breast milk supply. First, Baby sucking actually help to increase breast milk, offer your breast when baby more hungry. Masur Dal... This is most important. Take everyday one glass masur dal with ghee. Add Oatmeal...Cinnamon or honey..... Spinach... Garlic. ...Brewer's yeast...Fenugreek. ...Apricots... In your diet as much as possible. One more simple remedies, which I tried in my time. Prepare homemade powder for increasing milk supply. Dry roast equal quantities of cumin and fennel seeds till they turn aromatic. Cool them and grind to powder. Mix ½ tsp powder in ½ tsp warm ghee and consume 30 minutes before food 2 to 3 times a day. Desi ghee works best. This can be consumed for 2 weeks, followed by a break for 4 to 5 days and then repeat the cycle. This also helps to reduce colic in breastfed babies. A small portion of ajwain/ carom seeds can also be included.
Answer: Lactare granules or lactare capsules can be taken.U should drink milk atleast twice a day and 3 litres of water a day.Natural galactogogues like fennel fenugreek garlic..etc can be added in food..Lactation tea is also of great use..

I have flat nipple prob so even tried nipple shiled and pump too..my breast milk supply is also less.. really confused and worried.. looking for help and support
Answer: Hi! Please take help of a lactation consultant who will help the baby to latch properly, the flat nipple issue will be corrected by proper latching only, nipple shield is a good option to start with else use a pump, its obvious that your supply will go down if baby doesnt feed directly. Hope this helps!

Question: I feel my breast milk has reduced. I try to increase it by drinking methi seeds tea, eating methi sabji. Also i drink shatavari kulp. But i dont think this helps quickly. So will it be good if i start formula milk. Is it good and which brand and when to give. Can i give both formula as well as breast milk? . Actually i wanted to only breast feed till 6 month. Please help i m worried
Answer: Yes dear, u can feed both formula milk as well as breastmilk to ur baby. There is nothing harm in it. If u see that u are not able to feed ur baby as u are not getting sufficient milk then u can start giving ur baby formula milk which also contains same nutrients which mother milk have. But it would be good if u breastfeed ur baby till 6 months. Galact granules is ayurvedic powder. Have this twice a day with milk.(2 teaspoons in a cup of milk). Consult your Gynocologist she may give some tablets for a couple of days to initiate lactation. In first few days very little amount of milk is enough for your baby so don't worry momma !! Latch him whenever he wants the more he sucks the more is the milk production.
