Question: Hello mam mera dual marker ka report aa gaya hai report me free beta hcg 80.90 or Mom's 1.43 and pappa is 4.12 or Corr mom's is 1.63 aaya hai to kya is it normal or not? Pls reply me
Answer: Report looks normal do not worry.
But if your usg has shown any anomaly such as nasal bone deformity or your report puts a consolidated ratio of less than 1:200 then you must take a second opinion.
Question: I went through my nt scan and dual marker test.
Both results are absolutely normal with nuchal thickness being 0.6mm , nasal bone present.
And in dual marker trisomy 18,21,13 all having 1:10000 which is very low risk and normal.
But the free beta hcg value is 66.9 ng/ml and we are unable to understand what is that whereas beta hcg mom is 1.32 which is considered normal.
Pls help me by clarifying what does the value 66.9 ng/ml denote??
Answer: It's a human chorionic gonadotropin ie hCG is produced during pregnancy. To confirm the pregnancy hcg test gives 100% confirmation along with no. of the weeks you are pregnant with. It doesn’t require any doctor prescription. You can simply go for test in any lab.
It is made by cells formed in the placenta, which nourishes the egg after it has been fertilized and becomes attached to the uterine wall.Typically, the hCG levels will double every 72 hours. The level will reach its peak in the first 8-11 weeks of pregnancy and then will decline and level off for the remainder of the pregnancy. An hCG level of less than 5mIU/ml is considered negative for pregnancy, and anything above 25mIU/ml is considered positive for pregnancy.
Levels are :
3 weeks LMP: 5 – 50 mIU/ml
4 weeks LMP: 5 – 426 mIU/ml
5 weeks LMP: 18 – 7,340 mIU/ml
6 weeks LMP: 1,080 – 56,500 mIU/ml
7 – 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 – 229,000 mIU/ml
9 – 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 – 288,000 mIU/ml
13 – 16 weeks LMP: 13,300 – 254,000 mIU/ml
17 – 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 – 165,400 mIU/ml
25 – 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 – 117,000 mIU/ml
