Few days old baby

Question: Aslmalkm Doctor...!!! My baby is 5 and half months and is bcom too cranky these days. Not taking feeds properly..she is biting her toys angrily..scratching her ears...putting evrythinin in d mouth...is she due for teething??? If so plz guide as to wat can b done to give her relief...jazak Allah.. !!!

Answer: Yes it's due to teething... Apply oil on taalu regularly for 2-3 times a day and u can also give cold carrots to her... As if she puts carrot in her mouth the coldness will calm down her irritation

So keep the area and things around baby clean. Keep the nails short and clean. Wash toys before handing them to baby. Put a clean cloth in your finger dip it in chilled water and massage babies gum they would feel relief form pain. Give finger food to baby like carrot, beet root etc. You may give teether to your baby too.
