Question: Is it ok to eat Dates during first trimester? While I understand it should be ok to have in moderation,I read in some of blogs as dates have laxative properties and not good during first trimester. Also it has lot of sugar which is even not good in second trimester as there are quiet chaces of pregnancy diabetes in second trimester.
Answer: Yes dear u can have dates in pregnancy. Dates may help to ease labor and speed delivery. Adding a few dates to your diet in the last few weeks of pregnancy may make the whole birthing process easier. Remember to check with your doctor if you have any concerns, and don't overdo the date eating because they contain sugar and also if u have gestational diabetes in pregnancy then better is to avoid it
