Question: Can we have sex
Answer: Be assured – your uterus has strong muscles which strike out the possibility of a miscarriage. During intercourse, the penis does not go beyond the vagina, so it does not reach the baby. Just ensure that your man is not falling too hard upon you. Also, contrary to the popular myth, sexual stimulation or orgasm has no role to play in starting labour pain. While orgasm may cause mild uterine contractions, these are harmless. While intercourse is safe for women in a majority of cases, it is not always the case. There are times when one needs to avoid sex during early pregnancy. If a woman has had a history of miscarriages, it is advisable for her to not indulge in sex. When you are feeling nauseous or have overwhelming fatigue, it is better to refrain from sex. Also, a woman who is pregnant with twins or multiple babies or has a low-lying placenta should not indulge in sex.

Question: Can we have sex?
Answer: Hello dear. It is recommended women stop having intercourse during the final weeks of pregnancy, just as a safety precaution, because semen contains a chemical that may actually stimulate contractions. You can confirm with your doctor too. Take care.
