Question: Meri beti ko fever ho gya hai... Sardi (winter) k din hai kya kru... Pls hlp
Answer: It's very important to keep your baby warm during winter as baby catches cold way to easy. Dress your baby in layers, make him wear thermal and light sweater and cover up with blanket this way it will be easier to lose body heat and fever will be reduced. In a way fever is a good sign that body has developed an immunity against bacterial/viral infection but if fever goes beyond 100 degrees it's alarming. You can give 1ml of crocin drops to your baby for instant relief. This will help him sleep better. As fever warrants body pain give gentle massage to your baby and follow it up with sponge bath. This will put your baby at ease. Apply paste of nutmeg to your baby's feet, palms and chest. Cover with warm socks and gloves. Hope your little one gets better soon.

Question: mere baby ko 2 vaccine laga hai jisse usko fever aaya hai...or badh raha hai.. me kya kru jisse uska fever kam ho jaye
Answer: Fever fr 24-48hours after vaccination is normal...medicine needs to given to keep fever in control.. More important than the fever itself is how your child feels overall. If she's eating, sleeping, and playing well, there is nothing much to worry. However if fever persists along with other symptoms like vomiting, loose motion, irritable nature, loss of appetite, lethargy etc then following suggestions might be of your help - Try removing layers of clothing, giving her a lukewarm tub or sponge bath, or letting her rest in a cool (not cold) room. Prevent dehydration by breast- or bottle-feeding frequently. If these steps don't bring relief, call your baby's doctor to see whether medication is in order. If it is, be sure to ask what dosage is appropriate – the safe amount is based on your baby's weight, which changes frequently. Make sure never to give more than the recommended dosage at the appropriate intervals. My doctor had recommended another medicine i.e., T98 for my child, that helped.
