Answer: Hi...it must be very difficult for you. :) But don't worry.. new born babies are like that. Their sleeping patterns are very erratic. Just ensure that your baby is getting 16-17 hours of sleep in the whole day. If your baby is taking breast milk, ensure that she sucks at one breast for at least 20 mins so that she gets the hind milk as well and not just the foremilk. If she is getting sufficient milk, her stomach is full, there isn't distractions such as a wet diaper etc, she will sleep , how much ever her body needs to. As far as you are concerned, be assured that baby will fall into a sleeping pattern by the time she is 3 months old. Your life will be more relaxed. :) Take care.

Question: My daugther does not sleep much at night, but sleeps during day time. I know this is normal but any tips to make baby sleep during night
Answer: As you have said, this is a normal procedure.since your baby is just 3 months old, she needs good rest during morning hours too. But after a few months, maybe after she sits on her own, this sleeping schedule will change. If not, you can keep her awake during morning hours and engage her in games and talks. During evenings, or before sleep, make a routine that will let her know that it is bed time. Give her a warm body wash and change to sleep dress. This will make her understand that it is bed time. She will sleep soundly later. But now you need to allow your baby to sleep at her will.
