Answer: Hi dear The double marker test available for those who suffer from Down’s syndrome. In fact it is detection of pre-birth conditions of the fetus and is usually done after 8 weeks of pregnancy up to 14 weeks. This test detects any kind of chromosomal abnormalities that might occur after the conception occurs. This is not completely unusual.dont worry it is very normal ultrasound

Answer: NT scan is Nuchal thickness test that is done between 11-13.6 weeks..you might have crossed it as you seems to be 14 weeks now..not sure though..and double marker is a blood test to reconfirm the abnormal result if you get in NT scan..it determines the chance of having chromosomal abnormalities in baby...I skipped it as my doctor didnot recommend it.

Question: Is it necessary to have triple marker test even after having double marker test? My NT scan and double marker test is totally normal . Should I have to go again for triple marker ?
Answer: My Dr suggested that they read NT scan and double marker combine, and if there is any no issue with the report then they do not go for triple marker test
