Question:my 2months old baby is having white spots on her face.what are those white spots.
Answer: White patches on the face at this age are quite common. They are most common in children with dry skin. The involved patches don’t darken with sun exposure the way the surrounding skin does. Treatment involves daily lubrication with a good moisturizer such as Aquaphor, especially whenever the skin gets wet..Even with no treatment at all, the spots will disappear on their own, although it may take months to years. No need to worry it will heal itself

Question:My baby is getting spots in his face and body
Answer: Baby acne/spots is very common and usually harmless. I believe the best advice is to leave it alone. Many moisturizers have alcohol, petrolatum or mineral oil which actually make acne worse. Overly washing can dry out the skin which in turn causes the skin to secrete more sebum. Acne can be caused by hormonal changes in the newborn. It is normal and it will go away. Make sure to use gentle fabric detergent for the clothes and bedding. I personally put breast milk on it and the rash went away. Breast milk also helps heal the scratches from little fingernails in less than a day. You can try this once as it has no side effects.
