Question: Low lying placenta and posterior placenta means?

Question
Answer: Hi, Both an anterior and posterior are normal for both the baby and the mother. When it is in the vertical location of the uterus, this makes it a placenta posterior. And low lying placenta can move up during the course of pregnancy. You must avoid intercourse and report any case of bleeding to your doctor. In a rare case that placenta does not move up also,  chances of anything bad happening to the baby or mother is very less. Avoid jerky ride, heavy lifting and heavy work. If it moves up then no caesarean but if stays down then chances of caesarean are there. Don't worry so much just now. This time will only tell.

Question: low lying posterior placenta means????
Answer: Low-lying placenta, or placenta praevia, and posterior placenta is a complication of pregnancy where the placenta that feeds the growing baby is attached to the lower part of the womb near to or covering the cervix. Low-lying placenta may be picked up during a routine 20-week ultrasound scan appointment. In some cases, a placenta that is seen to be low-lying will move upwards later in pregnancy. Any bleeding from placenta praevia at the entrance to the womb in the second half of the pregnancy can be heavy and a risk to the baby and the mother's health. After a low-lying placenta diagnosis, seek medical advice if there's any bleeding during pregnancy. Having a low-lying placenta means it is more likely a caesarean section delivery will be recommended.
