Answer: hi dear if there is a chest congestion then ajwain potli sake will help other than that you can warm some mustard oil with the few garlic pods in it and you can massage the oil on the baby's chest back and feet and make baby wear a pair of socks so that the heat is retained and it helps in losing the mucus in the body also you can give baby steam bath it will also help in losing mucus but the baby is very small now so there is not much of a thing that you can do but please keep feeding breast milk at fights of the germs really well and the baby is not dehydrated so please keep a check on the P count it is important for the baby to pee normally, and whenever you make the baby sleep on the bed please post the pillow a little hai so that the baby is elevated and can breathe well.. Answer: Hi dear,.... Cold and cough in babies are quite normal as their immune system is still developing.comfort your child by keeping him warm in this changing weather. Make him sip warm fluids through out the day, that will help him to stay warm inside the body and also flush out germs. Massage his feet and palms with warm mustard oil. Steam is an excellent decongestant.put few drops of eucalyptus oil in boiling water and make the child inhale it. You can also make him sip this decoction.boil some water, put few tulsi leaves, cloves, grated ginger, half teaspoon ajwain. Reduce it little, and make him drink 1 table spoon every hour.stop any kind of dairy and fruits at this stage.you can make clear soups for him with crushed pepper. Tomato soup would also be good.as it is rich in vitamin C which would help his immune system to go stronger.add pinch of turmeric in whatever soup you make.its antiinflammatory agent would fight his infection. Viral infections would finish its course by 2 weeks atleast.

Question: My baby got cold and chest congestion please suggest me some home remedies
Answer: Breastfeeding is the first and foremost solution to treat cold and cough for your newborn. In your baby’s first six months, breastmilk is the only way to heal your child’s body from any type of problem.Breastmilk also improves the immunity of your child to fight against bacteria, germs, and virus. You can put few drops of breastmilk in each nostril of your baby. It will help to cure a cough and cold faster. Ajwain or carom seeds have antiviral and antibacterial properties. Dry roast ajwain on a tava or pan. Put the ajwain in a cotton cloth and make a potli of it. Gently rub it on the baby’s chest, back, under feet and palms. Make sure the potli is not very hot. First, test the temperature by putting the potli on your wrist. Make sure that the baby must have a single layer of clothing before you start to rub potli on the body. Caution: Don’t rub it on the naked chest of your baby.
