Answer: Hi dear, Few percentage of women with fibroids have successful pregnancy.many complain of abdominal pain and bleeding .fibroids usually flare up or increase in size during pregnancy due to the hormones.i the fibroid is growing in the utrine cavity,it could effect the process of implantation and also disrupt the formation of placenta.your doctor needs to keep monitoring the growth of fibroids thorough scan.though the treatment offered are quite safe during pregnancy, but chances of miscarriages are high in the initial stages of pregnancy.

Question: i have fibroid of less than 1 cm in my posterior wall of uterus.. m 4 weeks 5 days pregnant. Is it matter of concern ?? can this fibroid affect my pregnancy ?
Answer: More than 70% of pregnancies have fibroids so that is normal. But anything that complicates your pregnancy is a cause of worry. Your fibroid size is very less so it should not be a concern, however it depends if the size increase or decrease at any point because of progressing pregnancy. But don't worry ,Your doctor will let you know. You are very safe as of now and do not worry! Hope it helps! Take care.
