Question:I am 8 weeks pregnant but the scan reports says there is a gestational sac and yolk sac seen but no fetal pole made out.. What is that mean?i was so afraid please give me a solution..
Answer: The fetal pole is a thickening on the margin of the yolk sac of a fetus during pregnancy. It is usually identified at six weeks with vaginal ultrasound and at six and a half weeks with abdominal ultrasound. However it is quite normal for the fetal pole to not be visible until about 9 weeks. Please relax there is nothing to be worried. In your next scan it will be visible. Hope it helps.
Question:I have tested today only and result is positive...what should I take care further
Answer: Hi dear,
Congratulations to you and your family.right now you seem to be 7 weeks pregnant and can get your first ultrasound scan done now . viability scan where baby heart beat is detected can be done at this stage.wish you all the best!
