Question: I am 37 weeks pregnant and from my last week doctor visit bp is 130/90. I am monitoring it daily as per doctor suggestion. She asked to visit hospital if bp exceeds 150/90. I am still worried that 130/90 is high. Can you please tell me what should i do

(2) Perform meditation every day it will help in keeping you cool. And will them help keeping your blood pressure normal.
(3) Exercise regularly as it will definitely help in keeping the bloos pressure under control.
(4) As far as possible keep yourself away from hypertension medicines because if once you get used to it then definitely you will get addicted to it which in turn will affect your health.
(5) For diet take 3 bananas every day it will help you in reducing bp.
And take a glass of lemon juice every day.
And don't eat spicy meal and lessen your salt intake in the meal.

Answer: When blood pressure is high , baby doesn't get enough oxygen and nutrients from mother through umbilical cord. Did your doctor recommended to do color Doppler scan? Generally Doppler scan shows the effect of high blood pressure on baby. Normally doctors would prefer doing the delivery rather than risking the baby not getting enough oxygen. At 37 week the baby is considered almost matured and there should be no risk for the baby. Your doctor knows best about your and baby's condition. Trust your doctor.
