Answer: You should eat mostly fibre rich foods and fruits. As fibre keeps your digestion problems in check and also satisfies your hunger, while fruits and nuts provide your calories with necessary vitamins and minerals. Start taking smoothies in morning make it with fresh seasonal fruits like mangoes, Chiko in summers (twice/thrice in a week is good, more of mango intake will cause an increase in metabolism and body temperatures do not exceed the limit.) Drink each Keri Pani, tamarind water. Add kokum to your smoothies and juices to give you vit-c plus potassium. You can have one full glass milk twice a day with toasts or jam, mixed veg paratha with yoghurt/ idli sambhar/fruits platter with cracker biscuits/ nachini or ragi halwa/ sooji halwa with nuts/oatmeal and apple/eggs with avocado or salad/ tofu salad or paneer salad. Etc Pregnancy is a stage where you need double the energy and doubles the food and nutrients. Calcium, magnesium and iron are very important for your body as well as baby's, so follow the diet chart closely. Soaked overninght-----Eat 5 almond, 5 cashew, 5 figs, 5 walnuts, 5 raisins, 5 munakka--big raisins, khubani, sunflower seeds, flax seeds in morning. Start mama-x protien powder---Twice a day Drink sugarcane juice once a day( not the desiel engine one, but buy full sugarcane from market slice it at home and chew slices to avoid infection from drinking market juice.) it will boost your baby weight like never before. leave nothing, eat each and every fruit you can, eat all types of leafy vegetables, because vegetarians have fewer choices when it comes to best food that has all nutrients. So try to eat healthy keeping in check with calorie intake and food cravings. Hope it helps! Take care.

Question: I was 51kg. I couldnt gain weight in first trimester as i had nausea n vomitting. Now its better as m 14weeks pregnant now. I am worried about my diet. Please suggest me a diet plan.
Answer: Just have a healthy meal lots of vegetables and do not forget about the calcium intake Milk is the best source for calcium. Based on the personal experience I used to take 3 glasses a day during my pregnancy . Eat or drink 4 servings of dairy products or foods rich in calcium. Dairy products are the best source of calcium. Other sources of calcium are dark, leafy greens, fortified cereal, breads, fish, fortified orange juices, almonds and sesame seeds. Sweet potatoes are very rich in beta-carotene, a plant compound that is converted into vitamin A in the body. Broccoli and leafy greens contain most of the nutrients that pregnant women need. They are also rich in fiber, which may help prevent or treat constipation.Whole grains are packed with fiber, vitamins and plant compounds. They are also rich in B-vitamins, fiber and magnesium, all of which pregnant women need. Dried fruit may be highly beneficial for pregnant women, since they are small and nutrient-dense. Just make sure to limit your portions and avoid the candied varieties. Drinking water is important because of the increased blood volume during pregnancy. Adequate hydration may also help prevent constipation and urinary tract infections. Hope it helps.
