Question: Today I hd my ultrasound..report says my baby is lagging 3weeks? What does dat mean plz help?
Answer: During sonography the average age of the baby is calculated on the basis of the baby's bone lengths and head and stomach circumference in your case it is lagging by 3 weeks.this could mean that the baby is not growing as per expected counting from the l mp. But if your last scans have shown a proper growth and the lag is seen now it could mean the baby is not growing as per lmp .This can be due to lack of nutrients in diet specially proteins Every other parameter is alright then it is easily recoverable Just eat a well-balanced, nutritious diet, include more protein in your diet like egg cheese paneer curd Soya beans lentils kidney beans pulses and non veg egg chicken fish get plenty of rest and try to sleep in left lateral position drink more water include coconut water buttermilk uses at cetera Don't worry and follow up your doctor regularly to monitor the growth of baby.

Question: My NT scan report says placenta is fundo-anterior. What does it mean? Is this ok
Answer: Hi. The placenta is a large organ that develops during pregnancy. It is attached to the wall of the uterus, usually at the top or side. The umbilical cord connects the placenta to your baby. Blood from the mother passes through the placenta, filtering oxygen, glucose and other nutrients to your baby via the umbilical cord. The placenta also filters out substances that could be harmful to your baby and removes carbon dioxide and waste products from your baby’s blood. Anterior placenta is placement of placenta on front wall of uterus that means on your tummy side. In anterior placenta if you touch your tummy to feel yiur baby you would instead feel your placents. But its not a problem. With anterior placenta its just that you would feel the kicks a but late. Mainly placenta places it self on back or front wall of uterus. When its on back wall its posterior placenta and when in front its anterior. Best position for placenta is posterior. When its anterior a to be mom feels the kicks bit late and can feel the kicks light they never geg hitted too hard because of placenta.
