Answer: Hello, due to hormonal changes during pregnancy your taste might also get affected. Eat what you can. Don't feel bad if you have to avoid certain foods. For your metallic taste you can have acids such as citrus juices like lemonade, or foods marinated in vinegar. Brush your tongue along with your teeth, and rinse with a mild salt or baking soda solution. Change your prenatal vitamin. Hope this helps.

Question: I m feeling uneasy all the time.feeling like vomit and my tongue tastes so awkward. what to do? please suggest!
Answer: Nausea in early pregnancy is the most commonly experienced and complained about symptoms of all. About 70% of expecting mother experience it at some point in early pregnancy . Not only is it a sign of early pregnanacy but it is the most common symptom during first trimester and sometimes longer. While i understand that nausea is an uncomfortable feeling please be assured that it is not harmful to you or your baby and infact it is considered to be a sign of healthy pregnancy. Look at the steps below to help you with the same : Avoiding foods and smells that trigger your nausea. Keepingdry biscuits such as rusk or marie by your bed and eating a couple before getting up. Allow some time for digestion, and rise slowly once you are ready. Eating smaller meals more frequently throughout the day instead of three big meals. Drinking less water/fluids with your meals, and instead drink them between meals. Eating more dry, plain foods such as white rice, dry toast. Sucking on hard candy. Keeping rooms well ventilated or having a fan close by for easier breathing. If neither of these are possible, take time to go outside to get some fresh air. Getting plenty of rest; Listen to your body when you are feeling fatigued, and try lying down. Sniffing ginger or lemons or drinking lemonade, which can help ease the feeling of nausea. Talking with your doctor about the multivitamin you are taking; having too much iron may cause nausea, and switching to a different vitamin could help. Asking your doctor about taking a vitamin B-6 supplement, which has proven to helo nausea and vomiting. Another common concern in early pregnancy is dyguesia which is the name given to the hormonal changes to cause your mouth to taste metallic salty burnt rancid foul Some home remedies are : .snack on salted biscuits to dull any metal tastes .take mints or chew sugarless gum .try colder fluids like ice chips and popsicles .make it a point to avoid new food aversions (these can sometimes make dysguesia worse) .Frequent brushing with a minty tooth paste ,using mouth wash often .Home made mouth wash of salt and water. .Citrus foods such as oranges, grapefruit, lemons, pineapple and kiwi-fruit can be helpful. Drinking glasses of plain water through the day, each with a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime juice.
