Question: Hi all .today i visited to my dr for regular check up and got to know that I have gestational diabetes . And they are less chances of normal delivery . I am bit worry does sugar level will effect to my baby. And how to control sugar level

Answer: Hello dear, gestational diabetes is not at all good for babies development through out the journey specially in the third trimester. you have to go as your gynac suggested. completely stop eating any sugary substances, drink lots of water, and lots of green vegetables in your diet, do not eat fruits that are very sweet in taste, eat more protein and fat and less carbohydrate. I hope that will help you. walk for at least 30 minutes a day if your body permits. don't worry everything will be alright. all the best dear

Question: How does gestational diabetes effect the baby? I am 7 months pregnant and am on both tablets and insulin. Still sugar levels are bit above to normal range. Does this effect my baby?
