Answer: hi dear! so normally the amniotic fluid levels is suppose to be 10-14 dear and yours is low. so intake of protein will help you to increase the fluid so do take them . there is nothing to worry . normally as you approach delivery , the fluid can decrease and it can decrease also when the water breaks. so dont worry dear. take care
Answer: Yes , your afi is less . Median AFI level is approximately 14 from week 20 to week 35. Please increase the fluid intake and take the powder daily till the time it increases.

Question: These days am going to washroom frequently and because of that doctor told me my amniotic fluid is less.. she suggested me some powder to drink with water.. how to improve my level of amniotic fluid??
Answer: I hope a ultrasound is done to check ur amniotic fluid. Take the powder the doctor had suggested coz it helps. A protein rich diet and good hydration helps to raise the amniotic fluid. TRY having egg and milk everyday, sprouted beans etc. Hydrate urself well. And most importantly be aware of the baby's movements. If at all you feel that baby is not moving well enough u must see your doctor. Since you are 38 weeks now there is not much to worry. And yes if you are getting the urge to pitas urine you must pass at the time the baby comes down and there is pressure on the bladder so you feel like urinating frequently.. Hope this helps you .

Question: Hi... I have completed 24 weeks.. My doctor during recent visit said I have little less liquor (amniotic fluid).. She gave me powder to drink every.. Does the less amniotic fluid cause any growth issue in my baby? I'm worried.. Will it get increased using the powder.?
Answer: Hi dear, Amniotic fluid index(AFI),should be anywhere between 10- 18. Ideally 12 is good. But since your level is borderline,I would advice you to consult doctor.as high AFI could make the normal delivery difficult and you could deliver through c section .also low AFI could give you preterm delivery. low AFI has few reasons: 1- birth defects, which could give kidney problems or urinary tract issues in baby 2-placental problem.if the placenta is not providing enough nutrition to baby, then baby would stop recycling fluid 3-if mother has fluid early leakage 4- maternal complications like diabetes, high BP 5- dehydration Risks: 1- baby could not develop lungs and muscles well.as from second trimester, baby starts to swallow the fluid and recycle it 2- increased chance of miscarriage or still birth 3-preterm birth Treatment: 1- plenty of fluids to be taken.barley water is good in such conditions. 2- some cases IV fluids are administered 3- injecting fluids through amniocentesis 4- amnio infusion through catheter during labor

Question: Today i had my level 2 scan and my doctor says the amniotic fluid is little less is there anything serious?
Answer: hi dear! so amniotic fluid should be less. so i dont know the value of your amniotic fluid. but start with some home remedies. - keep yourself as hydrated as possible. minimum of 8-10 glasses of water should be taken. - eat fruits and vegetables that have high water content like : watermelons, tomatoes , strawberries , cucumber , lettuce , broccoli , cauliflower. it should help your fluid to rise. also in your next scan you will have to keep a track on the fluid levels if it has increased. take care! i hope this information was helpful to you!
