Answer: Hello dear, if baby position is such that the body structure is not visible clearly in anomaly scan then doctor suggest foetal echo scan . It helps to understand proper development of foetus as well as help to identify if there is any structural deformities. So, don't worry & don't take stress dear. Everything will be fine. All the best.

Question: My anomaly scan is normal still doctor suggested to do fetal echo test. Any one done this test?
Answer: Hi! Fetal echo test is not compulsary. If your Doctor or you want to know more about the heart health of the child then it is required, else it is not required. Though i hv taken this test and everything was fine in the report, its just my husband who wanted to make sure everything was fine, thats why he requested my OBGYN, otherwise my OBGYN dint ask us to get it done in the first place. Hope you find this helpful..

Question: At 19 weeks i went for anomaly scan today, docs noticed a white spot on fetal heart in ultrasound..is it worrisome? I am quite tensed after that..
Answer: Its called echogenic foci. Its is small calcium deposit or thickening of heart muscle. Do a fetal echo as follow up to rule out any heart abnormalities. other than that its a soft marker for down syndrome. dr. may recommend chromosomal study for that. but in my personal experience there is nothing to worry. my baby had this and she came perfectly alright and now she is 4 months old. usually it will go by its own
